"Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof: and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit.
Ecclesiastes 7:8, KJV
This is one of many verses that I use in workings for separation/breakup and divorce. Sometimes the end of a thing (situation, relationship, etc.) really is better than the beginning. Separations can tend to be messy, difficult, or complicated. But the end result is sometimes worthwhile and puts an end to all the strife and stress that goes with hanging on to a relationship that is no longer working.
Reasons for wanting to separate a couple can vary, maybe it is a toxic relationship, maybe you are in love with someone who is in a relationship with someone else, maybe you can see that two people really don't belong together or benefit each other, or maybe you are in a relationship that you don't know how to get out of.
Either way, sometimes the end of a thing is much better than the best parts of the relationship ever was."
